Tellmi - A Safe Space to Vent

Creating an advertising campaign that challenges the stigma of talking to strangers about mental health.

Background

Mental health is something many Gen-z struggle with. Opening up about your mental health can be difficult, especially with your friends. Tellmi is an anonymous peer-to-peer network that wants to provide teens with a safe space to open up and support each other.

Challenge

Get more people to sign up for Tellmi through an advertising campaign that updates Tellmi’s appearance and perception.

Solution

Through analysing reviews and the app, we found out that people used it more to discuss about smaller issues. We identified the insight as "we all need an outlet" and the creative proposition as "freedom to vent”. Serious subjects don’t have to be dull and boring.

Serious subjects don’t have to be dull and boring.

Our audience travels daily on public transport, making it an essential marketing channel to gain brand awareness.

The goal for the feed is to have a humorous twist, constantly searching.

Be quirky, fun and bold. We want people to follow the account because they enjoy it.

Through word of mouth, brand awareness will thrive.

Moving away from home to a new place can be lonely. Instead of only using the app to vent, Tellmi will launch a podcast, “The Venting”.

The podcast will discuss other people’s experiences. It will give you tips and tricks that can help you feel better.

Not only does it allow you to stop scrolling, but it also becomes a friend that keeps you company.
